Top Misconception About Heart Surgery

After you have had heart surgery and you are trying to cure the shock both physically and mentally, you will come across a variety of advice from people around. There will be a list of do’s and dont’s which will ultimately make you more confused. It is always better to turn a deaf ear to all of it as they are misconceptions mostly. There are plenty of heart doctors in India who will guide you all through the process and will explain in details about how life will be posted the operation. Here are a few common misconceptions that you might come across after undergoing surgery.

1. You will not be living a healthy life. This is so not true. Once you get an affirmative node from your heart doctor in India after the surgery, you can get back to work, go partying, travelling and do everything that you love to do.
2. Exercise is highly recommended and NOT harmful! In fact, exercising daily reduces the heart attack chances and keeps you active all through the day. Doing it in a moderate amount and maintaining a routine is highly recommended.
3. Do not stop visiting the doctor unless you are advised by him. You will hear a lot of people telling you not to visit your doctor after the medicines are arrested after the surgery. Life-long care for patients with heart conditions is a must to avoid running risks.
4. You can fly! Unless you have certain special conditions where you require oxygen support, you are good to fly. Consult your heart doctor in India before deciding, though.
5. You can eat healthy food after your surgery, but maintaining a diet chart is required. If you are eating fried snacks or red meat, make sure you balance it with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
